Girls State Basketball

After knocking off the number one seed to win regionals the Lady Ravens punched their ticket to State. The girls faced off against another number one seed Liberal High School and the number eight seed Lady Ravens were able to knock them out first round 57-46. The girls then advanced to play Topeka High the second round of State. A tough fought game, but the Ravens were unable to fight against the 6″0 Freshman from Topeka High who scored 30 points, losing the game 49-52. The Ravens played for 3rd Place Saturday afternoon against the Derby Panthers. The Panthers also had a tall girl standing 6″3 and a McDonalds’ All American Senior. The Ravens fought hard but lost placing 4th place at State.
