Raven Softball team strikes out the competition at Sunflower League

Last Thursday your Raven softball team played in the annual Sunflower League Tournament at Shawnee Mission, facing Leavenworth High and St. Thomas Aquinas. They got the W against Leavenworth, mercy ruling the team by the 5th, with a walkoff double from senior Loren Beggs. In the second game, the Saints put 3 on in the first but the girls fought back and shut the Saints down the rest of the game, with a final score of 12 – 3, leaving your Ravens with a 2 – 0 record in the tournament. Today they play at 3:30 against Shawnee Heights and again at 5:30 against Blue Valley High. Wish them good luck in the rest of their tournament and catch their next league game next Tuesday against Shawnee Mission Northwest at 4:15.
