Raven Softball is headed to State

Yesterday your ONW softball team played in their Regionals and are on their way to state. They played Leavenworth first and jumped on the Pioneers early, mercy ruling them by the 5th with a final score of 11 – 1 and a walk off double by Karisa Boeschan. Next the Ravens faced rivals Olathe South and played a hard fought game. The Falcons were up by one in the 6th but thanks to a double by Emily Bowman scoring Loren Beggs and a two run home run by Brooke Williams, the Ravens went into the 7th up by 2. With base hits by 2 of South’s seniors Avery Collins and Bailey Ballard, the Falcons got runners on first and second but ONW was able to hold them and end the game with a final score of 3 – 2. Heading to state for the 11th year in a row, the girls had an incredible season and will play at Rock Chalk Park on May 23rd, with time and opponent TBD. Come and out support the team in their last games of the season, good job and good luck girls!
