Third times a charm for the Lady Ravens Soccer Team

Thursday, May 16th, The Lady Ravens Soccer team competed against the #1 seed, BVN. The passed two years the girls have ended their season against BVN. Although the girls were the going in as the underdogs they came to fight. First half was very scrappy as this was the girls first game in grass this season. Despite that, Lyndsey Carr served a beautiful ball into Avery Nguyen’s feet to put the Ravens up 1-0 before half. The Mustangs came back fighting off of a corner kick to kick the ball back into the net. After regulation the game was tied at 1-1. Going into double overtime the girls got rid of the curse and defeated BVN with second goal, also by Avery Nguyen, making the final score 2-1. Afterwards the Ravens were crowned regional champs and are ready to compete this Tuesday for a chance at the state title.
