First Fridays art galleries bring a wave of culture to KC

Every first Friday of each month from 7-9p.m, art lovers join in KC’s Crossroads district to explore a diverse array of art, culture and classic dining. The district is transformed into a crosswalk of art galleries, restaurants and boutiques to honor local and national artists. First Fridays has become a long-lived tradition in the Kansas City area and will forever be a key element in the vast world of art.

First Fridays takes its attendees to a new world, showcasing what the Crossroads district really has to offer. Every First Friday there is something new, and the arrangement varies greatly from month to month. Art galleries eagerly open their doors to the public starting at 7p.m, and many of these attractions are free of charge in order to encourage art lovers to attend.

While a fair amount of walking is involved, the district also provides free trolley rides around the area. With winter quickly rolling in, these rides may become a luxury. Regardless of transportation preferences, First Fridays is a guaranteed good time. Anyone can attend, not just artists. Each attraction provides an excellent source for real culture in the Kansas City area as well as giving those passionate about art an opportunity for success.

First Fridays is located in the Crossroads Art District on 110 Southwest Blvd. Everyone is encouraged to attend while the Kansas City weather stays just right, but the attractions will always be available throughout the year. Experience Kansas City’s true culture every first Friday of the month.
