Newcomer into e-Comm wins big

Last Saturday, Students from over 23 different schools gathered here at Olathe Northwest for the annual eMagine award ceremony. Emily Fales, a junior at Northwest, had a big night and won two pixels.

Emily Fales joined the e-Communication academy this year and had to learn two years of skills to keep up with the other juniors in the program. Emily received several nominations which led to two pixels. As a junior, Emily feels very honored to see her work displayed on the big screen and see all of her peers see her creations.

Mrs.Zimmerli, an instructor in the academy, had a “mom” moment when she saw Emily win and was so proud to see Emily come so far in such a short amount of time. Emily also went out of the graphic design restrictions and created videos and other visual arts and has picked up a lot of skills. Emily is excited about her future in the program and hopes to expand her knowledge of art and create new things.
