Band wins title of Grand Champion

Last Saturday, the Raven Pride Marching Band competed in UCM’s annual festival. The band has competed in several festivals this season and overall has performed well.

After over two quarters of work, three band camps, and 7 AM practices nearly every day, the band has finally reached one of their biggest goals—winning the UCM Festival. The band has worked extremely hard to win this festival for the past five years. This season in particular, the band has come in second place at nearly every festival, so this win shows their effort for a victory and comeback. Many of the senior band members were overjoyed and emotional when they took first place, making it an amazing end to their high school band career.

Again, the band has put a substantial amount of work into this season’s performance, and that work has definitely paid off. We’re sending our congratulations to the Raven Pride Marching Band for their hard work and new title.
