Cross Country capped off a great season at State

The cross country team competed at the KSHSAA State Championships at Rim Rock Farms. The weather was perfect for running at the time of the races.

For the girls, who qualified as a team, placed 9th of 12 of the best 6a teams in the state. Junior Ashton Dain led the Ravens with a 20:46 placing 36th. Finishing with a place of 43rd, freshman Lydia Mcglocklin ran a 20:56. Junior Maleah Wardlaw placed 70th with a 21:51. Seniors, in their last race of their high school careers, Amelia Sims and Leah Wellman ran a 21:54 and a 22:20 for 71st and 83rd. Skylar Long ran a 23:57, for one of her few races back after a season plagued with injuries.

Brian Kitur, representing for the Ravens on the boys side, ran a 17:05 for 49th place. Brian is a senior and the race at Rim Rock was his last as a Raven.
