The Northwest XC team battled it out for the annual Rim Rock League Meet

Last Saturday, October 13th, your ONW Cross Country team headed over to Lawrence, Kansas to compete at one of the hardest courses nationally, Rim Rock. Every year the league meet is at Rim Rock and the ravens always show up with their game faces ready to dominate in a big meet. The morning was very nice but a little chilly being 40 degrees. Some of the ravens wore long sleeves and tights to combat the cold. First race of the day was the varsity girls. The girls ran very well as a pack throughout the race, placing 7th overall! Top finishers were Leah Wellman, Ashton Dain, and Lydia McGlocklin placing 17th, 25th, and 26th. The boys competed strong placing 10th. Top finishers were Logan Read, Brian Kitur, and Andrew Tracy placing 36th, 53rd, and 66th. The Ravens produced great times getting ready for a big upcoming meet. This weekend, the varsity runners will compete at regionals where they will qualify for state. The first race is the girls at 8 AM taking place at the JCCC course. make sure and be there and support the Ravens on their road to state!
