During Kindness Week at ONW, the school’s Kindness Club put together a few things to spread the word around the school. The club made encouraging posters to hang up throughout the building, did a chalk out, and put a pad of sticky notes and pens in every bathroom for students to write a nice note and put on the mirrors. We talked to one of the students that started the club, Jacob Guernsey, and he explained why the club began. His goal for the club is to help others through the stress of school and try to make someone smile.
Student Cecilia Davila-Vazquez, a sophomore at ONW, told us what Kindness meant to her. Davila-Vazques expressed that being kind means to do what you can to make someone’s day better, because you never know what they could be going through.
Remember, no act of kindness, no matter how small is never wasted. Stay kind Ravens!
